It seems as though nobody gives a crap about a regular website anymore, not since myspace has taken over the world. Sorry about the lack of activity on here but we have been super busy this summer. Busy not taking pictures and stuff. Stuff like actually being in the studio with a purpose and making very good music, some of which we have brought on the road with us. Thank those of you who noticed, the true fans of live music. You actively look and listen for new and good music, as opposed to have cotton candy being force-fed to you by radio and its puppeteers. thanks

Making the Record, Original Music
Haven't posted much news lately, guess we can mention the studio. We've made significant progress working on this record, but its far from completion.
The best news is the band, and everyone involved with the project is blown away by what we've done so far. Reckless is stepping it up to a new level.
If you've been to shows lately, you've probably noticed that we've thrown a several of our new originals in the set... strangely enough, even when not announced as an original, they have been getting the most response... besides the typical bar standards like 'Sweet Home Alabama'.
Brock and Roger are going into the studio this week to track guitars, the guys are counting on it to come out great.

Well, it has been a good year for Reckless, possibly even landmark thus far. Here are a few things we are grateful for that took place this year.
1. Sean and Adam are full-time again, this time till death.
2. Roger joined the band. (LBA!)
3. Brock grew up a little and bought a house (congratulations).
4. We are back playing at Puds, where we basically grew up.
5. We finally bought a spare tire for the trailer.
6. We got some decent professional pics of the band.
7. Played Auburn Crawfest with The Welfare and The Velcro Pygmies.
8. Played Bainbridge Bikefest for the first time, what a blast!
9. Were asked to play Bainbridge Bikefest next year as we exited the stage this year.
10. We played over 100 dates for the year; this is a first and a good sign.
11. Oh yeah, We finally had T-shirts made ($10/shirt)
We expect 06’ to be just as eventful as 05’ was. We could not do what we do without the support of our family and friends. This includes Crescent Moon Talent, Brandi, Cherie, Rebecca, Mr. Tracy, Mrs. Fran, Mr. Bill, Mrs. Pam, Mrs. Angela, Mr. Buzzy, Jeremy, other Mrs. Pam (Mom), Boyde, Steven, Justin (come ride again) and anyone else who helps keep this circus moving along. Reckless also appreciates all of the regulars that show up every time in their respective locations. If it were not for you we wouldn’t get asked back. Thanks a heap. We love you all. Have a happy and safe New Year.
Proof read away Brock!

Sorry Spence, I had to proof read this for you:) -Brock
Last week was a blast. The Supper Club is the best place to party (some of the girls of Auburn found that out Wednesday night). I have never been to a bigger greek function than that. That place was swamped. Do you “under-agers” see what you are missing now, huh? Thank you: Phi Mu, Alpha Gam, and AOPi for having us for your function at the Supper Club.
It was good to meet and party with the guys of Fourty5 South last week. We had fun hanging out with ya’ll, be safe on the road and we will see you again sometime, also thank you Vinnie for putting up with the Shenanigans. Chestnut and Supper Club, you’re always the most fun. Thanks for the hospitality Angela, and that cake was so awesome Josh... also the sound was killer (other) Josh. John and everyone else at the Supper Club, thanks for making us feel like we deserve to play there... Roger, did I tip you enough? (Probably not) Yo Pauly!! Yall have a Merry Christmas, see ya next year. If anyone is up near Huntsville this weekend, we will be too… @ Sammy's Live!

Okay, lots of new pics are up, including PUD'S for all the hometown fans. Come see us this next Wed-Sat leg, things will slow down after that until the new year. Don't forget to email us and stay in touch!
November 26th, 2005
Puds was a blast as always. Hope yall heard me when I announced that we would be doing the same deal on the 23rd of December, obviously for Christmas time. Yall come out if you can. I have been informed that we should have T-shirts and stickers by then, if not before. SUPPORT, PEOPLE!!! You already do and we love you for it. The homecoming we have everytime we come back to South Georgia is always overwhelming. We feel blessed to have a place like Puds to share with all of our old friends in and around Bainbridge. Carl and Melba are good people as are all of thier staff. We deal with a lot of people out on the road, and Pud's, easily, are some of the best folks we come across. Their like kin. Having said that, when we going huntin' Carl?

We would like to appologize to those who thought that we were still going to be at the Blue Iguana last night. I understand that there was some sort of sign saying that we were playing still. I believe that there was a vinal banner with thier upcoming dates so that was made well before this date was dropped from our schedule. Our gigs page is 99% accurate, so go by that from now on, cause dates do sometimes get dropped. Can't wait till tonight, its been a while, Barking Kudu, B'ham Yall!

The new Alabama... We just had to take a pic of this while driving through a small town in Alabama... dirty south!!
 Click for larger photo
Roger bought a CAMERA!! We have 4 new photo albums including the infamous "Afterparty" we had in our bus with Lynam while driving to the hotel, where we continued to party in the parking lot until the sun came up... good stuff.
October 3rd, 2005
Reckless has LOST the camera. We left it at a bar in Ocala, FL and no one will return our phone calls. This happened over a month ago, so we're not counting on it showing up. Everyone keeps asking why we don't have pics on the website... this is why. Our camera had over 6 shows and other priceless pics that we never got to dump on our computer, so they're gone. We are purchasing a new camera very soon. We are sorry, but hey, use this opportunity to spend time on the Forum and getting to know the guys, new pics will be up soon.
August 30th, 2005
Hey Everybody, Brock here... man we just got back from a 5 show in-a-row stint and we are tired and some are even sick... oh well, we had a great time and got to finish the stint at "Pud's" in my and Roger's hometown Bainbridge.. which has been so great to us lately.
Oh well, if you haven't noticed by the new pics, Roger is officially in the band now. Adam has also returned to play bass... we promise NO MORE FILL-INS!! I really want to thank everyone for sticking my Spence and I as "held it together".
Stay tuned for even more new pics and come watch us at "Bikefest" where we will get to be on a really big stage lookin all funny against the big dawgs (Bad Company, Warrant, etc..) its going to be a great festival. Oh yeah, we also shot a live DVD in the Opryland Hotel, we'll have some clips up from it soon.

Everybody keeps asking why we were not on "The Simple Life" last week. Quick Answer, we were hired to play at "The Simple Life" reception for the wedding on March 3rd. We did play the show (see pictures) but the wedding took 4 hours and and the camera crew only shot the cheasy "fake reception" located inside the church. I (Brock) was on the show for a whopping 2 seconds because I went to the bachelor party, but no Reckless. Spence and I spent a lot of time with the producers of the show and filled out miles of paperwork, only to have it not filmed at the end. No biggie, we have bigger fish to fry:)
Ya'll be good! Brock

Hello Everyone, this is Brock, we've been really busy lately. Spence says we don't update the news enough, so here's the latest.
I recently had physical therapy on my hand for two weeks due to soft tissue damage. I can't seem to stop injurying my body on stage. Here's some X-Rays
Spence's baby Braxton is growing like a weed and is starting to walk.
Roger will be filling in this weekend due to Boyde Lefon going on the road with James Otto.
Sean is getting married soon.

RECKLESS is playing a showcase Monday Night, 2/07/05 at 10pm, here in Nashville for Alabama Line. Sean Proctor is also playing a special acoustic songwriter’s showcase earlier that evening. Alabama Line is blowing up. We’ve moved Alabama Line to The Rhythm Kitchen on 3rd Avenue past Demo’s. Its an amazing place with a huge stage, sound and seafood. Founders: Wayne Mills, Curt Brewer, Tony Brooke and Co-Founders: Rex Oggs and (me)Brock Searcy have really been blessed by the talent that’s showing up. Please come out to support RECKLESS.
New pics are up from the last 3 months of 2004. Over 10 gigs have been posted. Make sure to pay attention to the 217 pictures Barbara took at The Supper Club. They are worth scrolling through. Also check out the new pic section under 2001 called “Misc. Photos“… or just click here Misc. Pics. Here you can see the guys remodeling the “Tour Bus” in Lowe’s Parking Lot while they were on the road between shows. The funniest are the pics of us making the record that we’ve been promising to complete for the past two years. We finally decided to record in Adam’s house/studio for the vibe… We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.
December 14th, 2004
We just added a last minute show this weekend on 12/18/2004. Check this place out!

Lot’s going on here in Nashville for RECKLESS. It seems that the southern college circuit is finally getting some local attention and RECKLESS will be playing on selected Monday nights for Alabama Line at Nashville’s Classic 3rd & Lindsley. Be sure to come and see our buddy’s Wayne Mills Band and others.
Also, Brock sat in with the Muzik Mafia last Tuesday and has been invited back to jam on stage at Bluesboro in Murfreesboro, TN. This weekly artist showcase and leftfield writer's night is responsible for jumpstarting the careers of current country success stories Big and Richand Gretchen Wilson, and it continues to be the hottest night in town for those wanting to break out in the country biz and beyond. Come out to see a huge variety of musicians, rappers, dancers, painters, flame throwers…. It’s all there, right up Brock’s alley.

We're taking a break until July 8th so the family can spend plenty of time together.
May 17th, 2004

May 6th, 2004
Brock injured his hand on stage at the Supper Club by stabbing his palm with the whammy bar (a metal bar) on his guitar. The bar pierced his skin and tramatized two tendons. He's been to 2 hand doctors and so far, there is no nerve damage, but he will not be playing for atleast a month. Therefore, all gigs are canceled until atleast May 29th. We are sorry and will be ready to play again very soon!

We had a great time in Athens and Auburn this weekend. Thank you to the "Samford Girls" who showed up in Athens... that was nice. It was cool to see our Tuscaloosa fans in Auburn to help us out for our first show at Auburn's Beta house. For the people who came from the Sigma Chi show to see us at Beta, thanks. And, for the ones who have been coming to ALL of our shows lately... ya'll rock.
Thanks for the great response to our original music also. I want to encourage everyone to support your bands playing their own material and don't just walk away when they don't play "Dinosaur" or "Rockytop". I promise you'll have plenty of bands playing those same songs for the rest of your college and adult life. Expand your musical experience.
While we're on this subject, check out LYNAM and WAYNE MILLS BAND. We've become good friends with Wayne Mills, Jacob Lynam, and David Lynam. These are 2 super talented bands that are also writing great songs. And of course, if you're in Nashville, watch the Wooten Bros or Blue Heelers... our biggest influences over the past year and a half.
RECKLESS is about to take a break in December for holidays, personal lives, etc. Also, we're going to take the time to write and get focused for our project in Nashville. Please stay in touch with us! We'll be on the message boards every day.
We'll see you next year! -Brock
November 20th, 2003
I've noticed a few people getting on that are very old-school fans. That made me think back to 1997 (me and Spence) and 1999 (original RECKLESS) when all this started. I dug up some old pics (check out REALLY OLD STUFF). There are pics of me when I was very... lets say "not healthy", and Spence was kickin that cowboy thing HARD! Go to Photos and check out the "vintage reckless" under 2001 Album.
Enjoy! -Brock
November 18th, 2003
Last weekend was very "interesting", to say the least, for the band. After the first night in Athens, we had guests... and a drummer throw up (see pics) in our beloved TOUR VAN (affectionately known as 'TK'). As the nights went on, we terrorized my cousin Roger's apartment and played some good music somewhere along the way.
The pics are VERY random, especially the first 2 nights, we're lucky pics even got taken, so if you were there, you'll understand them, if not, we apologize in advance. They'll be up shortly.
Lastly, Spence must have eaten a box of Ritalin because he has responded to like, every message on the board with huge paragraphs... not bad for the guy who still uses dial-up.
Keep those posts and emails coming!

New Pictures are up from Theta Chi Halloween@Birmingham Southern and Nov. 1 Sigma Chi @Auburn. We had a blast at both shows and are looking forward to seeing everyone again soon.
There are many more pics from the Saturday night show at Sigma Chi that were not posted due to various reasons, but you can email brocksearcy@hotmail.com if you'd like them, they are really funny and candid.
Don't forget to sign the guestbook!

Gainesville, Fl has, by far, the best dressed girls I've ever seen at a Woodser. We've seen it all in the past, from Camoflague, to Overalls, to... well "costumes", but these girls actually had style, it felt great to be back in Florida..... they danced great too. Anyway, pictures should be up in a day, so be sure to check them all out, we had a great time, oh yeah, and the girl who gave me her sweater, I still have it, there's a picture of it on the site.
Thanks to our friends who supported us at Sigma Pi, I think we brought 6 people, my cousin brought 5 or so, this was the bulk of our crowd so.... yeah.... anyway, that's who's in the pictures.
Take Care,
Brock
October 13th, 2003
Theta Chi at UA rocked! Students at UA have set a record for the site. We had 66 unique visitors in one day (the sunday after the show). Our website was even showing activity from the Tuscaloosa area at 5 am in the morning 3 hours after the show! We had as much fun as the crowd, obviously, 3 of us have hit up the first person to message us about the show Casey’s Post
Don't forget to look at all the pics, thanks to the blonde girl who took our camera and took literally 83 pictures of us on stage. We kept most of them and added over 30 of ya'll for a total of 89 pics so feel free to download them, etc. Also, if you want the good quality version,(600mg) just email me, I'll send them free.
Don't forget to post on the forum or email us!

4 Shows in a Row!!!
Man, we haven't done a 5 day stint in a while! 4 shows, 5 days..... that's not easy when you don't have roadies, that's a lot of setting up and tearing down. Anyway, we had a great time, thanks to Kelley, Katherine, and Katie for the tailgating and hospitality. Thanks for Josh and Jade coming out 2 shows in-a-row. Best news is we are finally getting out of the hole from all the "changes" and makin' some bling Brock.Blingin Yeah, I came home and ate some Thai food. Be sure to check out the pictures from each night.
There's a lot going on in the RECKLESS camp right now, we're still trying out bass players, working out song material with writers in Nashville, etc. Things have actually been looking up lately. But, to quote Spence..... who quotes Sean Mullins... in Nashville "everybody has a plan".
Auburn was great! Keep sending us those emails! -Brock

Photos of 9-19 Vanderbilt (Chi-O) and 9-20 Vanderbilt (ATO) will be posted in the next day or so, please check them out. The band has added a few songs to their setlist. Curious what they are? Ask about them in the forums.
September 8th, 2003
IFC-Panhellenic @SAMFORD UNIVERSITY and Kappa Delta @UGA. These two shows were so much fun!
I believe that SAMFORD'S show will go down as one of my top 5 of all time. The band left that gig with such an amazing feeling. I can't really explain it, but I can't wait to be back there. Be sure to check out all the pictures in PHOTOS of each gig. Thanks to everyone who bought cd's, etc. and please email us!
